Job DescriptionWe’re looking for a driven and strategic Airfreight Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across our Melbourne and Sydney markets. This is a high-impact sales role focused on expanding our airfreight customer base, increasing revenue, and delivering tailored logistics solutions that leverage our global network. Key Responsibilities
- Drive New Business: Identify, pursue, and secure new airfreight customers through proactive prospecting, networking, and lead generation.
- Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with key decision-makers, understand their logistics needs, and present compelling solutions.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with company targets and market opportunities.
- Solution Selling: Collaborate with internal teams to craft customised airfreight solutions that meet client requirements and deliver value.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and customer expectations to inform strategy and positioning.
- Revenue Growth: Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall profitability of the airfreight division.
- Proven success in B2B sales within freight forwarding, logistics, or airfreight (minimum 5 years).
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Deep understanding of international airfreight operations, pricing, and compliance.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Logistics, or related fields (preferred).
