Role Overview: Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join their team in Melbourne. The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding the customer base in the lift industry.
Sales Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the lift industry through market research, networking, and prospecting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including lift companies, contractors, architects, and consultants.
- Collaborate with the national sales team to develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to potential clients, showcasing the value proposition of products and services.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify areas for growth and innovation.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, campaigns, and events to support business development initiatives.
- Provide regular reports and updates on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to the General Manager.
Customer & Supplier Management:
- Oversee and manage relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely arrival of materials in the warehouse.
- Monitor and manage orders, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of products to customers.
- Oversee stock levels in the warehouse, working with the General Manager and coordinating with the logistics team to ensure optimal inventory levels and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer support processes, ensuring efficient resolution of customer queries and complaints.
- Analyse customer feedback and sales data to identify opportunities for improving products and services, and to enhance the overall customer experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the lift or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of lift industry trends, technologies, and customer needs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
